As a faith-based, evangelistic, and covenant community, the BCBP emphasized that honesty in government requires public servants to act truthfully, uphold their oath of office, fight corruption, and pursue the common good without personal or political gain.

It added that honesty should not only be a personal virtue but a guiding principle in government service.

BCBP, headed by its president, Bro. Arni Serrato believes that public officials must embrace integrity to restore trust in institutions and strengthen the country's democracy.

When people see their leaders practicing honesty, citizens are more willing to follow laws, pay taxes, and take part in nation-building, the BCBP explained.

Integrity also serves as a strong defense against corruption, as it prevents bribery, ghost projects, and the misuse of public funds. Honesty has a direct impact on economic growth, it said further.

The transparent use of government resources would encourage investor confidence, reinforce institutions, and ensure the efficient delivery of basic services to the public.

Ultimately, BCBP emphasized that integrity in public office is vital to strengthening democracy.
