|The Freeman
P-pop girl group BINI filed a cybercrime case in conjunction with unjust vexation yesterday, August 18, after their Filipino food review was spliced and generated negative reactions, including “personal attacks and grave insults.”
-
Film producer and celebrity lawyer Joji Alonso accompanied the eight members of the group to the Hall of Justice in Sta. Rosa, Laguna to file the complaint.
Alonso said the case against the unnamed individual falls under cybercrime, under Sections 4B and 6 of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, in conjunction with unjust vexation under Article 287 of the Revised Penal Code.
