On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, DSWD-7's DRMD turned over eleven Family Food Packs (FFPs) to affected households at the Barangay Binaliw Hall to help address immediate food needs as families recover from the incident.
-
In addition to the family food packs, Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food boxes were promptly provided to the victim-survivor and to the families of those buried in the avalanche.
Just recently, authorities have confirmed that the death toll from the landfill collapse last January 8, 2026, has reached 36, based on the official count, after rescue teams recovered the last missing victim.
