Archival eyes city partnership with Australia

Cebu City Mayor-elect Nestor Archival is exploring a potential partnership with the Australian government following a courtesy visit from Luke Villiers, councilor for economics at the Australian Embassy in the Philippines, at City Hall yesterday.

Archival expressed strong interest in collaborating with Australia --particularly in waste management, renewable energy, and healthcare systems, something close to his heart.

According to the city's public information office, Archival's top priorities include addressing traffic congestion, flooding, garbage disposal, food security, energy supply, and sustainable water management.

"Australia's waste management system is exceptional, and we hope to adopt some of their best practices to help address our city's challenges," Archival said.
