Archival assures no politics in prioritizing brgy projects

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. denied claims that political affiliation is influencing the prioritizing of approved barangay programs and projects.
This is after San Nicolas Proper Barangay Captain Clifford Niñal alleged that there seemed to be delays in the drainage projects they are requesting from the Office of the Mayor.
In an interview yesterday, Archival admitted that he finds it confusing how the requests of the barangay appeared to be late or delayed.
“Ang tanan nga gihangyo nila (barangays) like sa mga sakyanan, amo na ‘nang gihatag,” said Archival.
He admitted that he does not have any idea what Niñal requested that has not been answered. In line with this, Archival stressed that each request that reached his office has been treated fairly. However, he added that each request was being assessed accordingly and determined through its justification.
