September 24, 2024
|The Free Press Journal
Apart from making the city clean and beautiful, the contribution of sanitation workers is very important from the perspective of the residents' health.
-
The city's residents are participating in cleanliness activities by separating wet and dry waste, said Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh. He expressed his gratitude and thanked them. He also appealed to the citizens to actively participate in the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' initiative of the PCMC.
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, a campaign—'Swabhava Swachhata-Sanskar Swachhata'— is being implemented by the PCMC from Sep 17 to Oct 2, under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' fortnight. This activity has been launched on Monday at 7 am at C Circle, Spine Road, Bhosari by Singh, who spoke to the students at the programme.
