Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar’s wife, Bindhu Menon, said she will not proceed with her complaint against the minister after he admitted his mistake and apologised, bringing a sudden shift to a controversy that had triggered intense political debate across the state.

- HD Bureau

Menon made the announcement during an interview with a television channel on Tuesday, explaining that the minister had reached out to her after the allegations became public. According to her, Kumar attempted to contact her directly but eventually spoke to her sister when she did not answer his calls.

She said the conversation was emotional and included an admission of fault.

“He said a mistake had happened on his part,’ Menon said, describing the exchange. She added that the apology prompted her decision not to pursue legal action and that the matter would be resolved privately between the couple.
