Tur climbs on tight supply, chana shows uneven price movement

Prices of tur rose across key spot markets on Monday due to strong demand and lower arrivals, while chana prices showed mixed trends and urad remained steady amid lack of fresh market cues.

In Akola, Maharashtra, chana prices increased by ₹25 to ₹5,775-₹5,800 per 100 kg. Traders said the rise was driven by slight improvement in need-based demand along with lower arrivals in the market. However, overall consumption remained weak due to seasonally lower demand for chana dal during summer months.
