The Free Press Journal - Mumbai

A 17-year-old youth was brutally killed in broad daylight near Maharana Pratap Garden on Bajirao Road around 3.15pm on Tuesday, after an old dispute resurfaced following the circulation of a video on social media.

- Ankit Shukla

The incident has created panic and fear among residents in the area.

According to police sources, the killing stemmed from a six-month-old rivalry between the victim and the accused. The Parvati police had registered a case in July regarding a quarrel between them. At the time, the deceased had been named the main accused, while Tuesday’s main attacker was the complainant in that earlier case.
