Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam organised a Statewide demonstration on Sunday, voicing opposition to the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll.
TVK leaders argue that the revision is being carried out in a manner that could disenfranchise large segments of the electorate. They claim that the process has been marred by errors and that eligible voters, particularly from marginalised communities, are at risk of being left off the rolls.
