Stalin dismisses rumours of rift within DMK alliance

DMK president and Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has rejected claims of discord within the Secular Progressive Alliance, asserting that criticism of seat-sharing arrangements is being fuelled by “imagined narratives” after earlier attempts to divide coalition partners failed.

Speaking on Wednesday, Stalin described the controversy as part of a broader political strategy aimed at weakening the alliance ahead of electoral contests. He said detractors, unable to fracture the coalition through direct political engagement, had shifted to circulating speculative claims questioning how constituencies were allocated among partners.
