Ramadoss seeks 6 % quota for Vanniya in AP

The leader of the Pattali Makkal Katchi has formally asked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to grant a separate 6 per cent reservation in higher education and government employment for the Vanniya Kula Kshatriya and Agnikula Kshatriya communities.
The appeal, submitted on 29 November, argues the existing allocation leaves these communities disadvantaged compared with others in broader reservation categories. In the letter, the PMK president noted that within those two broad groups there are 15 sub-sects.
