British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s decision to touch down in Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, and not New Delhi, the political capital, during his two-day visit to the country is indicative of the direction of the just-held Indo-UK talks.

The focus was on trade, education and de-fence cooperation in the dialogue between Starmer, who led a 126-strong trade delegation, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who hosted the British PM.
