CELEBRATIONS GALORE
November 09, 2025
|The Free Press Journal - Mumbai
There's a curious paradox about celebrating someone's eightieth birthday we honour a long, blessed innings and toast to memories of a life magnificently lived, wishing for a long and healthy life for our friend!
Celebrating legendary hotelier and longtime friend Dinesh Khanna, who is a Cornell University alumnus even back then the visionary founder of Holiday Inn - was nostalgic and beautiful. His iconic club at Juhu was converted into a foot tapping retro Bollywood party room for this milestone birthday with strobe lights creating magical baubles on the walls, as film luminaries descended to give him jhappi pappies until the wee hours of morning. I almost felt like Mithun Chakraborty wearing an LED disco jacket would emerge from the walls!
