Burglary on rise, residents in fear

Pimple Nilakh and Vishal Nagar residents have raised an alarm over rising incidents of burglary, chain-snatching and thefts in their neighbourhoods.
Locals told The Free Press Journal (FPJ) that they now live in fear, with criminals striking homes and societies almost daily in recent months.
CCTV footage provided by locals shows burglars operating without fear, even spraying cameras with chemicals to disable them temporarily. Residents allege the gangs conduct daytime recce of potential targets and return at night to break into homes using noiseless techniques.
