Across Asia, vast greenfield belts are being erased by major infrastructure projects, threatening biodiversity and destabilising fragile ecosystems.
Such destruction demands urgent, responsible environmental governance. Agriculture and biodiversity must be protected with equal urgency. I have long championed nature conservation, planting trees and engaging in farm work across Tuticorin, Tiruchendur, Korkai, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari.
