SIT defers recording of Chennithala statement

LAST MINUTE CHANGE | Speculation about impact on local poll
The special investigation team set up by the Kerala High Court to probe the theft of gold-plated copper artefacts from Sabarimala Temple has postponed recording the statement of former home minister and senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala — originally scheduled for 11 a. m. at the Kerala Police Crime Branch office on Wednesday.
Officials informed Chennithala’s office at 10 a. m. that the investigating officer was indisposed, without specifying a reason. The SIT has not yet fixed a new date for the interrogation.Chenni
