Nitish-Tejashwi slug it out over women sops

Although women are considered as the core vote bank of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his party, JD (U), and its allies, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has started hard to woo them ahead of coming state assembly polls.

After Nitish announced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana under which women receive Rs 10,000 to start their own businesses, Tejashwi announced giving permanent government jobs with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 to all 'Jeevika community mobiliser (CM) Didis' in the state if the Mahagathbandhan is voted to power.
