Existing systems undermine retirement security
Tamil Nadu will implement a new assured pension fra mework for State government employees, with Chief Minister M. K. Stalin ann ouncing the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme on Saturday.
The move restores a defined benefit promise for the workforce, guaranteeing a pension equal to 50% of an employee's last-drawn_ basic pay, while setting out a shared contribution structure between employees and the government.
