Father-son feud deepens

The power struggle in Pattali Makkal Katchi has further aggravated, with founder S. Ramadoss publicly accusing his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, of orchestrating violent attacks on party workers and undermining the party’s norms.

The allegation —- made during a press interaction at Ramadoss’s Thailapuram residence near Tindivanam — marks a significant escalation in the rift that has divided the party for months. Ramadoss charged that Anbumani and his wife, Sowmiya Anbumani, were colluding to abet physical intimidation of functionaries loyal to the founder, saying: “He is instigating violence against party functionaries in collusion with his wife."
