A sweeping reshuffle at the top of the Kerala Police has elevated five senior officers to the rank of Inspector General, signalling a recalibration of leadership priorities across intelligence, crime control and armed policing.
The changes, approved by the state government, affect postings at the Police Headquarters, Crime Branch, Armed Police Battalion, Intelligence wing and key urban jurisdictions. R Nishanthini, Ajitha Begum, Satheesh Bino, Putta Vima laditya and Rahul R Nair have all been promoted to Inspector General, marking one of the most extensive leadership changes at this level in the force in several years.
