A solar-powered spinning wheel drew significant attention at the Khadi Festival that began on Friday at the Central Sanskrit University campus in Lucknow.
The upgraded machine, demonstrated during the inauguration, showcased how solar technology is now being used for weaving and thread-making, replacing manual spinning once associated with Gandhi's charkha.
