Yogi Govt Plans to Revive Ancient Shiva Temples in UP

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is bringing revolutionary changes to the tourism sector.

With the cooperation of the UP Tourism Department, UP Projects Corporation Limited, and UP State Tourism Development Corporation Limited, preparations are underway to launch several key projects aimed at strengthening tourism infrastructure across various parts of the state. These projects include the beautification of religious and cultural sites, the development of basic amenities, and the promotion of rural tourism. Most of these sites are ancient Shiva temples that had fallen into disrepair due to neglect by previous governments. Over the last eight years, the Yogi government has rejuvenated and beautified 188 small and large ancient temples. These initiatives, undertaken under the Chief Minister's directives, are not only increasing the number of religious tourists and pilgrims but are also boosting the local economy and creating employment opportunities.
