Vice Presidential polls: ECI gets down to business, works begin on electoral college

Two days after Jagdeep Dhankhar quit as Vice President, the Election Commission of India on Wednesday said that it has started the process of electing a new Vice President of India.
The ministry of home affairs vide its Gazette Notification S.O. 3354 (E) dated July 22 has notified the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, the poll panel said, adding that the Election Commission has started the preparations relating to the Vice-Presidential Elections, 2025.
