TRUMP 2.0 BEGINS; A WAVE OF HIS EXECUTIVE ORDERS LEAVES THE WORLD IN WONDER

This week, Donald Trump was inaugurated for a second term as President of the US. The ceremony saw the attendance of numerous international leaders, technology executives, and celebrities, including India's external affairs minister.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the event was held indoors at the US Capitol, marking the first indoor inauguration since Ronald Reagan's in 1985.

Following the ceremony, Trump delivered an extensive and unconventional speech that emphasized his domestic priorities and related foreign policy. He announced a significant decision to secure the Southern borders to address illegal immigration from Mexico and also stated that the US had entrusted the management of the Panama Canal to Panama, not to China, which provoked strong reactions from Panama and other countries. Trump also took the opportunity to criticize the previous administration, proclaiming that a <> for the US began with his inauguration. His demeanour and remarks indicated a readiness to swiftly implement critical decisions, which he did the very next day. Contrary to expectations for a more measured approach, Trump reignited debates with announcements such as the withdrawal of the US from the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization.
