Rahul Gandhi's leadership questioned as Congress hits new low

The crushing defeat in Bihar has once again raised questions over the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

After Uttar Pradesh, Bihar is the second-largest state in the Hindi belt where the Congress has suffered such a disastrous loss. Rahul Gandhi’s issues and strategies have consistently failed — whether on caste politics or the alleged “vote theft” narrative — both have been flatly rejected by the public.

Rahul Gandhi stubbornness is proving costly for the party, He has surrounded himself with people disconnected from Congress ideology and unfamiliar with national politics. In Haryana, Maharashtra, and Bihar, he made decisions and framed strategies on his own terms - all of which flopped. In Delhi too, the brother-sister duo appeared directionless, and Congress failed to win a single seat for the third consecutive time. The party now stands marginalised in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Bihar.
