Police rejects charges of communal angle in Asif Qureshi murder

The Delhi Police has rejected all the claims of a communal angle in the actor Huma Qureshi's cousin, Asif Qureshi, who was murdered in Delhi following a dispute over parking in the Bhogal area and has noted that the incident was the result of issues between the neighbours.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South East, Hemant Tiwari, said to ANI, "Last night at 11:35 pm, we received a PCR call from National Heart Institute East of Kailash. We were told that one Mohd Asif Qureshi, aged 45 years, was brought dead to the hospital after an altercation. Upon receiving information, our SHO and IO teams arrived at the hospital, while ACP and ADCP teams proceeded to the incident site. The deceased and the accused are neighbours."
