Parul Chaudhary Strikes Gold, Shaili Singh Grabs Silver on 3rd day

Steeplechaser Parul. Chaudhary took top podium positions while long Jumper Shaili Singh finished second as India's medal tally went up to nine (Five gold, one silver, three bronze)at the Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday.

Parul Chaudhary, won her first gold medal at the Asian championships, in the women's 3000m steeplechase in 9:38.76 to win her race ahead of of China's Xu Shuangshuang (9:44.54) and Japan's Reimi Yoshimura (9:48.48).
