National Sports Policy 2025: India's bold leap towards a sporting renaissance

Replacing the National Sports Policy of 2001, this comprehensive and ambitious initiative aims to streamline sports governance, elevate India's global sporting performance, encourage private sector engagement, and lay the groundwork for hosting major international events—most notably, the 2036 Olympic Games.

The policy has been shaped through extensive consultations with Central Ministries, NITI Aayog, State Governments, National Sports Federations (NSFs), athletes, domain experts, and public stakeholders.

VISION AND CORE OBJECTIVES

Khelo Bharat Niti is guided by the vision of transforming India into a leading sporting nation, using sports as a catalyst for national development and individual empowerment.
