With this move, the BJP has initiated a long-term transition aimed at ensuring continuity over the coming decades, well beyond the current Modi-Shah phase.

This approach ensures that, by the time Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah eventually step back from active politics, a settled leadership ecosystem is already in place, minimising the risk of institutional instability or internal dislocation.
