Mamata vs Suvendu again on voter list revision, illegal migrants

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the BJP's Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari clashed today on the issue of voter list revision and illegal migrants.
While Banerjee threatened nationwide protests if Bengali-speaking migrant labour working in BJP-ruled States were detained and harassed, Suvendu Adhikari accused her of supporting Rohingyas and enabling fake voter registrations in the state.
Barely 48 hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit West Bengal, Banerjee led a protest march in central Kolkata and warned of nationwide protests if Bengali people face harassment. "I work in Bengal. The people of Bengal have elected me. Let me work in Bengal. If I have a problem in Bengal, I will go all over India," she warned.
