The government is set to introduce the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, August 20, as part of a packed legislative agenda, raising anticipation over the possible restoration of statehood to the Union Territory.
According to official documents issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has been asked to include several key items of government business for the day, including the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, and the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill.
