Kishtwar MLA's statement triggers uproar in Assembly

A brief but intense uproar erupted in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Wednesday after BJP MLA Shagun Parihar made controversial remarks alleging neglect of Hindu communities in her Kishtwar constituency.
While participating in a discussion on regional development, Parihar said, “In our Kishtwar, we are Rashtrawadi Hindu log and we are being neglected; no work is being done.” Her statement immediately drew sharp reactions from members across party lines, prompting the Speaker to intervene and restore order.
