The clearest signal came from a nearly hour-long meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy—their first face-to-face since April.

The encounter was not just symbolic; it centered around the urgent topic of achieving what Zelenskyy called "a ceasefire and a real peace" in Ukraine, which has been under relentless pressure from Moscow's continued aggression.
