India's growth despite global uncertainty

India today is one of the fastest-growing economies of the world and, in the words of the IMF, the only bright spot in the other wise dark horizon.

There has been a great leap in economic reforms, healthcare, ease of doing business, a tech-driven digital India, serving the poor, Nari Shakti, infrastructural development, water and energy security and an overall growth in all sectors. This has resurged India’s unity, growth, stability and pride of a new strong India.

Despite global uncertainty, various reforms recently have further catapulted India even higher in the global scenario. We achieved an 8.2 percent rate of growth in the last quarter. The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) Bill was passed, opening select civilian nuclear projects to private and foreign players, while keeping strategic areas under governmental control.

This will modernize India’s nuclear energy framework so that nuclear power can play a safer and more sustainable role in national development. It will boost clean and reliable energy, ensure stable base load electricity, accelerate technology in Atmanirbhar Bharat and improve nuclear safety and regulation, as also bolster research. The government launched a Rs. 1 lakh crore research, development and innovation scheme to foster cutting edge technology and high impact projects, to expand India’s science and innovation eco system.
