The last five years have been full of ups and downs for Indian hockey.
The last five years have been full of ups and downs for Indian hockey. During this period, India finished on the Olympic podium twice and also won a medal in the Pro Hockey League on one occasion, but after that the hockey team fell flat on its face in the European leg of the Pro Hockey League, where it lost seven matches one after the other and could only manage to finish eighth out of nine teams.
India's world ranking, which had reached third place in the world in these years, has now slipped to seventh place. But now once again the hopes of Indian hockey's graph rising have been raised.
