How to remove pesticides from grapes, strawberries the right way

While experts say no method can remove all pesticide traces, there are scientifically backed ways to significantly reduce them at home, making your fruit safer and fresher to eat.

The first rule of thumb: don't rush straight to eating out of the packet. Washing under plain running water for at least 20-30 seconds gently rubbing each grape or strawberry helps loosen surface dirt, wax coatings and some pesticide residues. This basic rinse is essential before using any deeper cleaning method.
