Foreign Exchange Reserves Climb to $678 Billion

In 2023, India added around $58 billion to its foreign exchange reserves, contrasting with a cumulative decline of $71 billion in 2022.
India's foreign exchange reserves (Forex) rose USD 1.567 billion to USD 677.835 billion in the week that ended on April 4, extending gains for the sixth straight week, according to the official data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
According to the data released by the RBI, for the week ended April 11, the foreign currency assets rose by USD 892 million to USD 574.98 billion. The foreign currency assets are the major constituents of forex reserves.
