DUSU ELECTIONS GET UNDERWAY FOLLOWING HIGH COURT'S APPROVAL

Elections for Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) got underway on Friday following the Delhi High Court’s decision to allow the university to conduct elections.

Voting will be held from 8.30 am to 1 pm for morning shift students, while for the evening shift, it will be held from 3 pm to 7.30 pm. On Thursday, Delhi High Court allowed Delhi University (DU) to continue with the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections but has imposed a crucial condition--barring the university from counting votes until it satisfies the court that all posters, hoardings, graffiti, and other campaign-related materials have been removed and public property has been restored. Counting was scheduled to be held on Saturday.
