A junior person serving in an institution was assigned a task during an important event.
Cultivating compassion is one step towards becoming an angel.
She did the work as required, but after the event some valuable items in her charge were misplaced, leading to confusion and considerable worry among all concerned. The senior person in charge was not amused, and spoke sharply to the distressed junior, admonishing her for her negligence. The situation was remedied when the misplaced items were found later. But the damage had been done. It is 30 years since this happened, but the crack that developed in the relationship between the senior and the junior, because of the harsh words spoken, remains to this day.
