Delhi High Court Passes John Doe Order Against Rogue Websites Infringing Online Gaming Company Baazi Group's Trademark

The Delhi High Court in the case Moonshine Technology Private Limited vs. Ashok Kumar & Ors observed and has issued a temporary injunction against "rogue websites" from accessing and using the domain names infringing the trademark of Moonshine Technology Private Limited, the parent company of Baazi Group of Companies providing online gaming products and services.

The rogue websites are operating under different names which includes baaziadda, baazi247, baazi365 and lotusbaazi.
The plaintiff i.e., Moonshine Technology Pvt Ltd stated that the Baazi group has registered various trademarks which includes BAAZI, BAAZI GAMES, BAAZI MOBILE GAMING and POKERBAAZI. Moonshine stated that it has been using the Baazi mark since 2014.
It has also been stated by plaintiff i.e., Moonshine Technology Pvt Ltd that it is well-known for its products and services under the brand and trademarks of BAAZI and that it has acquired immense goodwill, reputation and popularity amongst customers, members in trade and public at large.
