Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Remanded To Judicial Custody Till April 15 In Liquor Policy Case

The Delhi Court in the case observed and has remanded Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15 in the money laundering case which relates to the alleged liquor policy scam case. He was arrested on the night of March 21.

The Special CBI judge Kaveri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue Courts passed the said order after the Enforcement Directorate, ED did not seek further remand.

The counsel appearing for the ED stated that, we are asking for judicial custody, subject to the right of asking further custody as per SC judgment in Senthil Balaji case.

Therefore, Kejriwal was produced in court on the expiry of his ED custody.

The Trial Court on March 22 remanded Kejriwal to six days of ED custody, which was extended by further four days.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

Kejriwal had skipped nine summons issued to him by ED.
