The Daily Guardian

The United Kingdom will not be drawn into the escalating conflict involving Iran, despite rising tensions across West Asia, UK Housing Secretary Steve Reed said on Sunday, as military exchanges intensify and global powers weigh their responses.

- TDG NETWORK

Speaking to Sky News, Reed stressed that Britain's priority remains security and deescalation, even as US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. “We're not going to be dragged into the war, but we will protect our own interests,” he said, adding that the UK is working with allies to bring the conflict to a swift close while safeguarding British nationals and assets.
