BHU renovates 150-year-old heritage building Charu Mahal into hostel

Given the increasing demand for the availability of hostels for students on the university campus, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is constructing new hostels and renovating the ancient buildings.

After the renovation of the heritage building Charu Mahal, which is nearly 150 years old, it has been allotted to Ranveer Sanskrit Vidyalaya.
Availability of hostels has been a challenge for a long time for the students of Ranveer Sanskrit Vidyalaya, run by the university. Established in the year 1883, the school came under Banaras Hindu University in 1918.
