Amit Shah, Nadda to assess BJP's election readiness in Bengal

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda are set to arrive in Kolkata late on Monday night to hold several organizational meetings on December 26 with regard to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

According to party insiders, Shah will visit Gurudwara Bara Sikh Sangat, Jorasanko, and Kalighat temple on December 26, following which, he, along with BJP president J.P. Nadda will hold a meeting with the core committee of the party’s Bengal unit. The two leaders will also meet with the BJP social media volunteers’ team and thereafter might introduce some new workers during the organizational meeting.

A senior party leader from West Bengal said: “They (Amit Shah and JP Nadda) will visit all States to hold Lok Sabha organizational discussions. We are happy that they chose West Bengal to start these meetings. This clearly proves that they are giving huge importance to Bengal.” The Bengal BJP unit is in an upbeat mode for the organizational meeting before the New Year. Party insiders have claimed that this time, from candidature fixation to campaign plans, all poll-related nitty-gritty in West Bengal will be specially monitored by both Shah and Nadda.
