Railway royalty visits Cornwall to aid STEM education centre's fundraiser

RECORD-BREAKING historic locomotive Tornado has steamed into Cornwall to help raise the remaining funds required to launch a new engineering training centre in St Blazey.
-
The MPower Cornwall community interest company, a social enterprise teaching engineering and construction skills, is due to open in September.
Tornado, hauling the Royal Duchy excursion train from Bristol to Par, visited the railway turntable at St Blazey, the centre piece of its new facilities.
The CIC says its work will focus on providing STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and maths) to children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
