Drug addict forced to do 'dirty work' is spared jail term

A VULNERABLE woman caught up in drug-dealing has been spared jail - but warned to stay out of trouble.
Amy Rich, 42, was arrested by plain-clothes police officers in the area of Morrab Gardens in Penzance on March 27 after reports that the park and garden were being used for drug-dealing.
A sentencing hearing at Truro Crown Court on May 28 was told undercover police officers visited the beauty spot in response to these concerns and found Rich in the area. They then heard her take a phone call which aroused their suspicions, and when she was arrested drugs were found.
Rich, of Victoria Place in Penzance, had previously pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a Class A drug, heroin, with intent to supply.
The court heard she herself had a chronic addiction to heroin.
