Big names and local talent at this year's LitFest event

THE 14th Penzance LitFest, which runs from July 1 to 5, has announced its line-up, featuring big-name authors and local talent.
The 50 events include writing workshops, poetry, social stories and the Great Big LitFest Quiz.
Some have already sold out.
Among those appearing is Gavin and Stacey star and recent Bafta-winner Ruth Jones, now also a writer of best-selling fiction. She will be in conversation with Cathy Rentzenbrink about her latest novel, By Your Side.
Another Litfest guest will be Samantha Harvey, winner of the 2024 Booker Prize for Orbital.
Andrew Miller will open the programme of author events, discussing his latest book The Land in Winter, and it will be rounded off by the multi award-winning Scottish crime writer Denise Mina.
Novelist and short fiction writer Claire Fuller will be in conversation about her most recent book, The Memory of Animals, as well as leading a writing workshop.
