Mngqithi questions effort of some of his players

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi might have given credit to AS Maniema Union for recording a credible draw at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday night.

However, he's not happy with a few of his players following the insipid display in the goalless draw against the DR Congo side.

The Brazilians failed to break down Maniema's defence and had to settle for a point in their opening match of the Caf Champions League group stage campaign.

"I think I would have issues with one or two players that I felt maybe did not give enough effort more than anything else," Mngqithi said.

"But I think the rest of the players really pushed hard and I was really happy with our last line. I think they performed very well.
