→ Muzi out of action for the week.
am currently serving a one-week suspension, so I am out of action until Friday 29 August. That means I will not be riding at tomorrow's Turffontein meeting but I will be back in action next Saturday which sees the running of the Listed Spring Spree Stakes over 1200m, the first feature race of the new season on the Highveld.
While I won't be riding tomorrow, I still hope to point all our followers in the right direction.
Racing tomorrow takes place at on the Inside track and there will be a nine-race card to preview.
The headliner on the card is Race 5, the Singapore Pools Trophy 2025 Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m, where once again some classy horses will be on show.
Last week was a good week as our best bet, Saragossa Cat, and value bet, Pretty Persuasive, both won well.
Now on to tomorrow's card and Race 1 is a Middle Stakes over 3000m and Breeze Over is the class horse in the race. He will take all the beating to start off the day and he is my best bet on the card.
This is a great opportunity for him to gain another win and everything looks to be in his favour.
Mo Ment is ultra-consistent and will ensure there is a good pace in the race. On his current form, he rates the main danger.
Key Worker is the interesting runner now she attempts this type of a trip and if this is what she is looking for then, off a weight of 50kg, she will be a definite runner.
Race 2 is a Maiden Plate over 1000m and my suggestion is to watch the betting and canter past for the best guide to the chances of the unraced runners.
Of the raced runners, Midnight Flyer is the horse that they all have to beat after a superb debut run.
While the quick comeback and drop in trip is slightly concerning, he looks well above average and should be a tough horse to beat.

Could Maharaj's Test spot be in danger?
It feels silly to even suggest this, but based on the performances of the country's strong spin bowling contingent, Keshav Maharaj's place in the national Test team might be in danger.
